The Aluminium Collection

Contemporary design, uncompromising security.

An aluminium front door combines refined architectural design with certified security and exceptional thermal performance. With clean lines, elegant glazing and slim sightlines, it is the ideal choice for contemporary homes where style and performance go hand in hand.

Built around a thermally broken aluminium frame and engineered to recognised security standards, every door delivers outstanding strength, durability and everyday reliability. Aluminium is the natural choice where the design calls for larger glazed panels and the fully glazed openings steel cannot carry as cleanly, so a modern front door or contemporary entrance keeps its protection without the bulk. Made to measure for your property, each entrance is customised with your choice of glazing, hardware, finish and any RAL colour.

Professionally surveyed and installed by our own experienced team across London and the Home Counties, every door is finished with a premium powder coating that retains its appearance for years to come. Low maintenance and built to last, it is an entrance designed to perform as beautifully as it looks.

Good to know

Aluminium doors, asked and answered.

What is an aluminium security door?

An aluminium security door is a front door built on a thermally broken aluminium frame with an insulated core and multi-point locking. It gives you slim sightlines, large glazed areas and a light, modern face, with the security engineered into the frame and lock. Every one is made to measure and finished in any RAL colour, inside and out.

Are aluminium security doors as secure as steel doors?

For most homes, yes. Our aluminium doors are built to RC3 under BS EN 1627, an independently tested resistance class, with the same multi-point locking and anti-pick cylinder as our steel doors, and RC4 is available on request. Where the risk is higher, steel still leads on outright resistance, and we tell you honestly which suits your home at the free survey.

What is the difference between steel and aluminium security doors?

Steel leads on outright strength and carries the higher security rating; aluminium offers slimmer frames, larger glazed panels and a lighter, more contemporary look. Steel is tested to LPS 1175 and aluminium to BS EN 1627 resistance classes, and both use multi-point locking as standard. The right choice comes down to the design you want and the level of security your home needs, which we talk through at the survey.

Why choose aluminium instead of steel?

Choose aluminium when you want slim sightlines, more glass and a modern face without giving up real security. The thermally broken frame carries larger glazed panels and full-height sidelights that steel would struggle with, and it stays warm and stable in all weather. It is the natural choice for a light, contemporary entrance where steel would feel heavier than the look you are after.

Can aluminium security doors have large glazed panels?

Yes, and it is where aluminium is at its best. The slim, strong frame carries larger glazed panels and full-height sidelights that steel or timber cannot, all in laminated security glass where specified. You get the light and the view of a glazed entrance with the door still built to a tested security class.

Are aluminium security doors energy efficient?

Yes. Our aluminium doors pair a thermally broken frame, which puts an insulating barrier between the inside and outside faces of the aluminium, with an insulated core and a full perimeter seal. That keeps the warmth in and gives a low U-value, as low as 0.8 W/m²K, so the door performs as well as it looks. The exact figure for your door is confirmed in writing at the survey.

Do aluminium doors warp, crack or corrode?

No. Aluminium does not rust, rot, swell or warp the way timber can, and the powder-coated finish resists corrosion and holds its colour outdoors. The frame stays straight and true through heat, cold and damp, so the door keeps closing and sealing properly for decades. It is one of the most stable materials you can choose for a front door.

How long do aluminium security doors last?

An aluminium security door is built to last for decades. The metal will not rust or rot, the thermally broken frame stays dimensionally stable, and the powder-coated finish is made to hold its colour outdoors without repainting. With occasional cleaning and the odd lubrication of the locking hardware, it is a genuinely long-life front door.

How much does an aluminium front door cost?

The cost of an aluminium front door depends on its size, the glazing, the finish and the configuration, so every door is priced individually after a survey rather than from a fixed list. We give you a written quote, agreed before any work begins, and the price is fixed before we start.

What colours can I have?

Any RAL colour, inside and out, including dual colour if you want a different shade facing the street. Black and anthracite are the most popular, but the full range is open to you, and the powder-coated finish is built to last without repainting.
